The change in materials from genuine leather to synthetic makes this version of the Gel-1130 stand out from models dating back to the early 2000s. It gives the sneaker a modern upgrade and allows the metallic silver accents to catch the light. Although the sneaker draws inspiration from previous interpretations of the Gel-1000 series, its stability-centric construction more closely follows the Gel-Kayano 14.
